First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests whether a hybrid closed-loop insulin pump (MiniMed 780) can help people with diabetes after pancreas removal achieve better blood sugar control and quality of life. Twenty-four adults who had part or all of their pancreas removed will use the automated system for 3 months, then their usual insulin treatment for 3 months. The goal is to see if the smart pump keeps blood sugar in a healthy range more consistently than standard care.
