First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 29, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special vacuum dressing (closed incision negative pressure therapy) helps wounds heal better after breast reduction surgery compared to a standard bandage. About 92 women having the surgery will each have one breast treated with the special dressing and the other with a standard one. The goal is to see if the special dressing reduces complications like wound reopening, slow healing, or infection.
