New drug combo offers hope for older CLL patients unsuitable for chemo
NCT ID NCT02315768
Summary
This study tested whether a combination of two drugs, ibrutinib and obinutuzumab, is safe and effective for treating chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) in older adults or those too frail for standard chemotherapy. It involved 32 people with previously untreated CLL. The goal was to see if this drug combo could reduce the number of cancer cells in the body.
