Blood test guides leukemia treatment duration in new drug combo trial

NCT ID NCT05677919

Summary

This study is testing a two-drug combination (pirtobrutinib and venetoclax) for people with previously untreated chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL). The main goal is to see if using a sensitive blood test that detects tiny amounts of leftover cancer cells can help determine how long patients need treatment. Participants will take the drugs for up to 27 cycles (about 2 years) and then be followed to see how well the cancer is controlled and how long the response lasts.
