Smart treatment test guides fight against returning blood cancer

NCT ID NCT04560322

Summary

This study is testing a personalized approach for adults with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL) that has come back or stopped responding to prior treatment. It uses a combination of two approved drugs first, then checks with a very sensitive blood test to see if any cancer cells remain. If cancer is still detected, a third drug is added to try to eliminate it completely. The goal is to better control the disease and keep patients in remission longer.
