Could stopping cancer drugs early be safer?
NCT ID NCT04722172
First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests if people with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL) can safely stop taking acalabrutinib and obinutuzumab once their cancer responds well, instead of continuing treatment indefinitely. The goal is to reduce side effects and prevent drug resistance. About 55 adults with untreated CLL or SLL will participate, and researchers will monitor how long they stay cancer-free after stopping treatment.
