Scientists spy on cancer cell diets in real patients

NCT ID NCT04785989

Summary

This study aims to understand how chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells use nutrients like sugar and glutamine to grow and survive. Researchers will track these nutrients in blood and bone marrow samples from 16 adults with CLL and some healthy volunteers. The goal is to find unique weaknesses in the cancer cells' metabolism that could lead to new future treatments.
