Common allergy drug may boost brain repair in elderly depression
NCT ID NCT06591091
Summary
This study is testing whether adding the antihistamine clemastine to standard antidepressant treatment can improve brain structure and function in adults over 60 with depression. Researchers want to see if this helps antidepressants work better, reduces symptoms, and improves memory and thinking. The 12-week trial will compare clemastine plus an antidepressant against a placebo plus an antidepressant in 80 participants.
