First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether strictly avoiding low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) can help adults with type 1 diabetes regain the ability to feel warning symptoms. About 324 participants with impaired awareness of hypoglycemia will use a closed-loop insulin system and education. The goal is to improve safety and quality of life by restoring natural defense responses.
