New hope for halting MS disability: drug trial aims to save crucial arm function

NCT ID NCT04695080

Summary

This UK trial is testing whether a drug called cladribine can slow the loss of arm and hand function in people with advanced multiple sclerosis (MS). Over two years, about 200 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo to see which better protects their ability to perform daily tasks. The study also measures safety, quality of life, and brain changes to understand if this treatment can help control disease progression in advanced MS.
