Can a Pop-Up alert save kidneys? yale tests new doctor notification system

NCT ID NCT07430930

Summary

This study tests whether a computer alert system helps doctors prescribe recommended medications for chronic kidney disease patients. When doctors open a patient's chart, the system checks if the patient qualifies for certain kidney-protecting drugs and shows the doctor which medications might help. The research will follow 1,000 patients for a year to see if these alerts lead to better prescriptions and slower kidney decline.
