Summary

This study tested over 8,400 Brazilian adults who have risk factors for chronic kidney disease (CKD) using a simple finger-prick test at local clinics. The goal was to find out how many people might have undiagnosed CKD. Those with abnormal results were referred for confirmatory lab tests and a kidney specialist visit.
