Weekly shot tested to control blood sugar and shed pounds

NCT ID NCT06611930

Summary

This study tested whether a new weekly injection called CK-0045 could help people with type 2 diabetes and overweight or obesity better control their blood sugar after meals and lose weight. About 90 participants received either one of two doses of CK-0045 or a placebo shot for 16 weeks. The trial was terminated early, and its main goal was to see if the treatment improved post-meal glucose levels and body weight compared to a placebo.
