NCT ID NCT03850379

Summary

This study aimed to find out which of two commonly used antibiotics, ciprofloxacin or levofloxacin, is better at preventing serious bloodstream infections in patients recovering from a stem cell transplant. It involved 308 adults with blood cancers who received a transplant. Researchers compared the rate of infections in the first 60 days after transplant to see which medication provided more effective protection.
