First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study will check if doctors at Assiut University Heart Hospital follow European guidelines when implanting pacemakers and similar heart devices. Researchers will track 200 adult patients for up to a year to see if following the guidelines leads to fewer complications like infections or lead problems. The goal is to identify gaps in practice and improve patient safety.

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could show that following ESC guidelines reduces complications from heart device implants, leading to better patient outcomes.
