Faith and fitness: can a church program turn the tide on heart disease for black men?
NCT ID NCT07220213
Summary
This study is testing a 24-week church-based program called FELLAship, designed to help Black men at risk for heart disease, diabetes, and obesity improve their health. Participants attend weekly sessions for exercise and health education, receive personal support, and track their progress with health screenings and devices. The goal is to see if this community-based approach can improve key health numbers like blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar, and to learn how to make such programs work well and last.
