Scientists map pain to predict treatment success
NCT ID NCT03434392
Summary
This study aims to better understand the chronic pain experienced by people with pancreatitis. Researchers will use a special pain mapping test on 500 participants, including healthy volunteers and patients, to see if certain pain patterns can predict who will benefit from treatments like surgery or endoscopy. The goal is to improve how doctors choose the right treatment for each patient's specific pain type.
