Zap your pain? new device tested for pancreatitis sufferers

NCT ID NCT06015945

Summary

This small, completed pilot study tested a non-invasive, home-use device called Transcutaneous Electrical Acustimulation (TEA) for treating abdominal pain in people with chronic pancreatitis. The main goal was to check if the study was practical to run and if patients could use the device safely and consistently at home. It was a small first step to see if this drug-free approach is worth studying in larger trials.
