New training aims to cut opioid use for chronic pain sufferers
NCT ID NCT05580419
Summary
This study is testing whether a special training program for doctors and other healthcare providers can help people with long-term chronic pain. The training teaches providers new ways to manage pain without relying as heavily on opioid medications. Researchers will measure if patients experience less pain, better quality of life, and reduced opioid use after their providers complete the course.
