Scientists probe Brain's role in chronic Pain's grip on muscles

NCT ID NCT07281651

Summary

This study aims to understand how long-term pain conditions like chronic knee pain and fibromyalgia might change the way the brain sends signals to muscles. Researchers will compare adults over 40 with these conditions to pain-free volunteers. Participants will undergo pain sensitivity tests, have their muscle activity measured, and complete tasks and questionnaires to see if altered nerve signals are linked to physical difficulties.
