New injection study offers hope for chronic migraine sufferers
NCT ID NCT07347067
Summary
This study is testing whether a simpler injection into tight muscle knots (trigger points) works as well as a more complex nerve block injection for treating chronic migraine and related head and neck pain. Over 1,000 adults with long-term migraines will receive one of the two injections and be followed for two years to compare pain relief and side effects. The goal is to find a safe, easy-to-administer treatment option for people whose migraines don't respond well to standard medications.
