New program tackles the 'Double Whammy' of pain and loneliness for rural seniors

NCT ID NCT06671925

Summary

This study is testing a new program called SCOOP, which uses weekly coaching sessions and videos to teach older adults in rural areas how to better manage chronic pain and increase social connections. Researchers want to see if the program helps reduce how much pain interferes with daily life and decreases feelings of loneliness. They will compare 80 participants who go through the program with those who do not.
