Tracking Veterans' pain: can we predict chronic pain after combat brain injuries?

NCT ID NCT07424248

Summary

This study aims to understand why combat-related brain injuries often lead to long-term chronic pain. Researchers will follow 100 veterans with recent mild-to-moderate brain injuries for six months, tracking their pain levels, psychological state, and physical function. The goal is to identify early warning signs that predict who will develop persistent pain, which could help guide future prevention and treatment approaches.
