NCT ID NCT03787511

First seen Jun 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looked at whether people with type 2 diabetes who have a long-lasting cough (over 8 weeks) also have more small fiber nerve damage compared to diabetics without a cough. Researchers used nerve tests and a small skin sample to check for neuropathy. The goal was to understand if chronic cough might be a sign of nerve damage in diabetes.
