Chili pepper patch for stroke? new safety trial begins

NCT ID NCT07406971

Summary

This study is testing if a tiny, dissolvable film containing a chili pepper compound (capsaicin) is safe for people who just had a stroke. The film is placed in the mouth and aims to stimulate nerves that may improve blood flow to the brain. About 46 participants will be randomly given either the real film or a fake one, and doctors will closely monitor them for side effects for 72 hours.
