Can a simple prep class calm Kids' surgery fears?
NCT ID NCT03205397
Summary
This study tested whether a special preparation program for children and their parents could reduce anxiety in kids aged 5 to 12 before scheduled surgery. Researchers enrolled 50 children and their parents to see if guided preparation for being together in the operating room would help. The main goal was to measure if this approach lowered children's anxiety levels at the moment they received anesthesia.
