Can play and prep ease the sting? new study tests soothing kids during allergy tests
NCT ID NCT07319273
Summary
This study is testing whether having a child life specialist help kids during a skin prick allergy test makes the experience better. Child life specialists use play, preparation, and support to help children feel safe and cooperate during medical procedures. Researchers will compare 140 children who get this special support to those who get standard care to see if it reduces pain for the child and anxiety for the parent.
