Can group support for new moms boost Babies' brain development?
NCT ID NCT07430826
Summary
This study is testing a program designed to help mothers provide better nurturing care for their babies in Botswana, Kenya, and Zimbabwe. It will enroll 1,260 pregnant women, including those living with and without HIV, and follow their children for two years. The program includes group meetings where mothers learn problem-solving, child nutrition, and play activities, aiming to improve the children's development and growth. Researchers will compare children whose mothers receive this support to those who receive standard care.
