Summary

This study is testing how well and how safe the drug upadacitinib is for children and teenagers (ages 1 to under 18) with a rare and serious form of childhood arthritis called systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (sJIA). It will compare upadacitinib to another existing treatment, tocilizumab. About 90 children worldwide will take one of the medications for about a year to see if it reduces joint pain, swelling, fever, and other disease symptoms.
