Could a simple chewing gum help fight obesity?
NCT ID NCT07036692
Summary
This study is testing whether a chewing gum containing a special fiber (GOS) can help overweight adults manage their weight and improve their metabolism. Researchers will enroll 120 participants to see if using the gum affects their body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, blood sugar, and the bacteria in their mouth and gut. The goal is to see if this easy-to-use approach can support long-term weight control.
