Gentler chemo tested for tough pancreatic cancer in seniors
NCT ID NCT05360732
Summary
This study is testing a modified schedule of two standard chemotherapy combinations (FOLFOX and FOLFIRI) for older adults (65+) with newly diagnosed, advanced pancreatic cancer that has spread. The main goal is to see if alternating these treatments every two weeks is easier for older patients to tolerate than the standard, more intense regimen. Researchers will monitor side effects, track disease progression, and see how well the treatment controls the cancer.
