Can standing up from a chair predict your blood clot risk?

NCT ID NCT06166329

Summary

This study aims to see if a simple one-minute test of standing up and sitting down in a chair can help doctors better predict which patients with non-severe lung blood clots (pulmonary embolism) are at higher risk for complications. Researchers will enroll 180 hospitalized patients and compare the chair test results to current standard risk assessment methods. The goal is to find a quick, practical way to identify patients who need closer monitoring.
