Diabetes tech showdown: continuous monitors vs. finger pricks
NCT ID NCT05222815
Summary
This study compares two common ways people with type 2 diabetes check their blood sugar: continuous glucose monitors (CGM) worn on the skin versus traditional fingerstick tests. It involves 360 patients across 50 primary care clinics over 12 months to see which method works better for controlling blood sugar levels and reducing the stress of diabetes management. The goal is to provide real-world evidence to help doctors and patients choose the best monitoring approach.
