Free glucose monitors offered to Low-Income diabetes patients in groundbreaking health equity study

NCT ID NCT07135531

Summary

This study tests whether continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) help low-income, uninsured, or Medicaid patients with type 2 diabetes better manage their blood sugar. Fifty participants will be randomly assigned to either use a CGM for six months or continue with traditional finger-prick testing. Researchers will measure changes in blood sugar control, time spent in healthy ranges, and episodes of dangerously low blood sugar to see if CGMs provide meaningful benefits for underserved populations.
