Glucose monitors tested to stop diabetes in overweight kids

NCT ID NCT05387551

Summary

This study is testing if wearing a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) helps overweight children and teens with prediabetes stick to diet and exercise plans. The CGM gives real-time blood sugar readings, which researchers hope will motivate kids to make healthier choices. The goal is to see if this extra feedback leads to weight loss and improved insulin sensitivity, reducing their future risk of developing full type 2 diabetes.
