New tech aims to tame dangerous blood sugar in High-Risk dialysis patients
NCT ID NCT06641765
Summary
This study is testing if using a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) can help diabetic patients on kidney dialysis manage their blood sugar better than the standard method of finger-prick checks. It will involve 96 participants who will be assigned to either use a CGM continuously, use it only at certain times, or stick with the standard monitoring method for 9 months. The goal is to see if the CGM helps keep blood sugar in a safer range and reduces dangerous lows, which could improve health and quality of life for this vulnerable group.
