New MRI method could help surgeons remove more of a deadly brain tumor

Summary
This study tests whether a special MRI technique (CEST) can help surgeons remove more glioblastoma tissue during surgery. Standard surgery only removes parts of the tumor that show up on regular MRI, but this new method may reveal hidden tumor areas. The trial will compare how long patients live without their cancer growing after surgery guided by CEST MRI versus standard surgery. About 60 adults with newly diagnosed glioblastoma will take part.
