Mammography vs MRI: which is better at spotting breast cancer?
NCT ID NCT05390229
First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study compared two imaging methods—contrast-enhanced mammography (CESM) and MRI—to see which is better at detecting breast cancer in women with suspicious breast lesions. A total of 231 women took part, and each had both scans plus a biopsy to confirm the results. The goal was to measure how accurate each test is at finding cancer, which could help doctors choose the best tool for diagnosis.
