Could skipping a catheter make C-Sections less painful?

NCT ID NCT06357546

Summary

This study is testing whether women having a planned C-section can safely skip having a bladder catheter placed during surgery. Researchers want to see if simply urinating right before the procedure works just as well for preventing urinary problems, while potentially reducing pain, discomfort, and the risk of infection. They are comparing two groups: one that uses the standard catheter and one that does not, to see which approach leads to better comfort and recovery for new mothers.
