First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether a new type of absorbable staple can close the skin faster and leave a better-looking scar than traditional stitches in women having a C-section. About 237 women will take part, and their scars will be evaluated from photos taken 5-10 days and 4-6 weeks after birth. The goal is to find a method that improves both surgery time and cosmetic results.
