Summary

This study tested a device that sends a tiny electrical current through the head (cranial electrotherapy stimulation, or CES) to see if it reduces anxiety in young adults aged 18-21 with generalized anxiety disorder. 130 participants received either real CES or a fake (sham) device for several weeks. The main goal was to measure changes in anxiety symptoms using standard rating scales.
