New hope for cervical cancer? drug cocktail targets tumors that resist immunotherapy

NCT ID NCT07186868

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026

Summary

This study tests a combination of two immunotherapy drugs (iparomlimab and tuvonralimab) plus chemotherapy, with or without a blood-vessel-blocking drug, in 25 women whose recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer has worsened after prior PD-1/PD-L1 treatment. The goal is to see how many patients' tumors shrink or disappear. All participants receive the same treatment, and researchers will monitor side effects and survival.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

iparomlimab and tuvonralimab (QL1706) plus nab-paclitaxel, with or without bevacizumab

What this could lead to

If successful, this could offer a new treatment option for women with cervical cancer that has stopped responding to standard immunotherapy.

What could go wrong

This is a very early, small study with only 25 participants and no comparison group. The combination may cause significant side effects, and results may not apply to broader populations.
