Extra chemo tested to keep advanced cervical cancer at bay

NCT ID NCT04016142

Summary

This study tested whether adding extra chemotherapy after standard radiation treatment could help control advanced cervical cancer that had spread to nearby lymph nodes. It involved patients who first completed standard radiation and chemotherapy, then received additional weekly drug infusions if they were eligible. The main goal was to see if this extra treatment could delay the cancer's return and help patients live longer.
