At-Home HPV tests could save lives in rural NC
NCT ID NCT07294066
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether trained community health workers and local organizations can help more women in rural North Carolina get screened for cervical cancer. About 112 women who haven't had a recent Pap or HPV test will receive a self-collection kit at home. The goal is to see if this approach is practical and acceptable, and to connect those who test positive with follow-up care.
