Light scan could spot cervical cancer earlier

NCT ID NCT00900575

Summary

This study is testing whether a special light-scanning technology can help doctors better identify cervical cancer during routine exams. Researchers will use the device on 350 women who are already scheduled for cervical cancer screening or follow-up procedures. The goal is to see if this light-based approach can detect subtle tissue changes that might be missed with current methods.
