Brain study seeks clues to speech control

NCT ID NCT03972202

Summary

This research study aims to understand how a part of the brain called the cerebellum helps control speech. Researchers at UCSF are studying 660 people, including patients with a movement disorder called cerebellar ataxia and healthy volunteers. Participants complete speaking tasks while researchers use brain scans and other techniques to see how the brain processes speech in real-time and learns over time.
