First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at people having a severe heart attack complicated by cardiogenic shock, where the heart can't pump enough blood. Doctors are testing whether quickly increasing the level of mechanical pump support (called MCS) can help more patients survive to leave the hospital or reach 30 days. The study involves 124 patients at 20 U.S. hospitals that are experts in using these devices.
