Summary

This early-phase study tested an experimental immunotherapy drug, cemiplimab, given as injections directly into skin tumors before surgery. The goal was to see if the drug is safe and how well it shrinks or eliminates the cancer. The study included 97 people with two common types of skin cancer: squamous cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma.
