First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study compares two antibiotics for treating early syphilis: an oral pill (cefixime) versus a standard shot (penicillin). About 400 adults with early-stage syphilis, including those with well-controlled HIV, will take part. The goal is to see if the pill works as well as the shot to clear the infection.
