NCT ID NCT06843005

First seen Apr 07, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether using special CT scans to monitor plaque buildup in the heart arteries can help prevent major heart problems like heart attacks and strokes. About 3,100 adults with non-obstructive coronary artery disease will be randomly assigned to either a management plan guided by follow-up CT scans or standard care. The goal is to see if the scan-based approach improves cholesterol control and reduces serious cardiovascular events over three years.
